Public Relations and Communications
Alleen Mirakian is a Canadian Communications professional with over 10 years of experience in designing, developing and delivering communications and knowledge products for a variety of organizations and programmes, including in conflict settings. With a focus on women’s empowerment, Ms Mirakian’s communications expertise extends to the design and rollout of communications tools that promote behavioral change through a variety of mediums, including radio and television dramas, school education campaigns, social media, as well as print, radio and television journalism. She has designed taxpayer communication strategies and education materials, as well as anti-corruption technical assistance tools in the DR Congo and Mali. She holds a Commerce degree with a Marketing Specialist from the University of Toronto, Canada, where she was the co-editor of the student newspaper. Experienced in conflict-affected settings, she is also a court reporting professional with 18 years of experience with several international and national courts and tribunals, including in Sierra Leone and the Hague.
