Associate Researcher and Project Manager

Clémentine Blateau

Clémentine is a Legal Researcher and Project Manager with over four years of experience with Glasshouse Initiatives Inc. Her areas of expertise include Women Peace and Security (WPS), Gender Justice and Anti-Corruption. She currently works as a WPS/Access to Justice advisor on the Partnership Fund for a Resilient Ukraine, delivering technical assistance to civil society organisations and government bodies in implementing gender-sensitive approaches to transitional justice.

She managed several programs for Glasshouse, including a Gender Study to better understand the gender dynamics in the armed conflict raging in the Gao region, in Mali and a capacity-building project for the Financial and Economic Crime Unit in Ivory Coast. As part of this second project, she also delivered technical expertise by producing professional training modules and practical tools for magistrates and law enforcement authorities, while also leading several trainings on the ground. 

Clémentine has  experience in research and analysis on issues around WPS, countering and preventing violent extremism, anti-corruption institutional capacities, money laundering practices, etc. She co-authored reports, studies, assessments on these topics and conducted data collection as well as co-monitored teams of researchers.

She previously held a Teaching-Assistant position at the University of Grenoble Alpes, France. She holds a dual bachelor’s degree in Law and Foreign Languages from the University of Grenoble Alpes. She simultaneously graduated from McGill University (LL.M) and Nantes University (Master 2) with a concentration in International Human Rights Law. She speaks French, English, German and Russian.
