David has over 20 years of experience as a journalist and media professional, working in print journalism, documentary film and television for international media organizations. He has worked in politics and government as well, serving as communications director and political advisor in five election campaigns in Canada, where he served as an advisor for two Ontario cabinet ministers. In Philadelphia, David was Media Director for a marketing agency before leading communications and marketing for the Department of Behavioral Health, the city’s largest agency. Most recently, David served as Director of Communications for Pennsylvania’s leading child advocacy organization, playing pivotal roles in enacting both Philadelphia’s vaunted Soda Tax and the city’s new childhood lead poisoning prevention law, touted as the most protective amongst U.S. cities.
