Saudamini Siegrist

Saudamini Siegrist has over 20 years of experience working on issues related to children and armed conflict.

In addition to working with Glasshouse Initiatives Inc., Saudamini is also a Senior Associate with Humanitarian and Development Partnerships International (HDPI) in Child Protection. Most recently, she has provided guidance and technical support for UNICEF in diverse country contexts, including Mozambique, Nigeria and Sri Lanka.

She previously served as Senior Adviser for Child Protection in Emergencies at UNICEF (2012-2017), Chief Child Protection for UNICEF in Palestine (2010-2012), and Child Protection Specialist at the UNICEF Innocenti Research Center (2004-2010).

In 2003, Saudamini was seconded to the Sierra Leone Truth and Reconciliation Commission, as rapporteur and writer for the Children’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission Report. She also co-edited, Children and Transitional Justice: Truth-Telling, Accountability and Reconciliation, published by the Human Rights Program at Harvard Law School, and contributed to The Impact of War on Children, by Graça Machel. She holds a Doctorate from New York University and a Masters degree from Columbia University.
